"Good nutrition may not make an average runner a great runner, but poor nutrition can make a great runner average" -Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Hey friends! I'm training for my very first half marathon (click here to learn why), and so far I have LOVED the experience. Along the way, I've learned that my performance depends a lot on how I fuel before, during, and after my runs. Because of this, I was inspired to do a little research on nutrition for endurance athletes to share with my running team.
I also thought I would share this guide with you, too! Please note that this is simply a guide, and not a strict set of rules that must be followed exactly. When it comes to nutrition, everyone has different needs, so it's important to listen to your body and find what works best for you.
If you feel like you need extra help figuring out a nutrition plan, I recommend chatting with a board certified sports dietitian (CSSD). Click here to find one.
Are you a runner? What are some of your favorite fueling strategies? Got any races coming up?
Let us know in the comments. Yeah girl!
